We are giving the UBC Statistics Learning Attitudes about Science Survey that we would appreciate your participation. The purpose of this survey is to gather information on how students perceive learning Statistics. The information will be useful for our teaching. The same survey will be administered twice -- at the beginning and at the end of the course. A small credit of 1% will be awarded to your final grade for successful completion of *both* surveys. Please note that participation is voluntary, and the deadline for submitting the first round of the survey (Wednesday May 16, 2007) has been over. Thank you for your participation.
Announcement on June 13, 2007
We would like to validate the Learning Attitudes about Science Survey administered at the beginning of the term. Students who participated in the survey are invited to help with the validation phase. This will involve a one-on-one meeting (between the student and Dr. Bruce Dunham who teaches STAT 200 regularly) where we will go through some questions on the survey and check the validity of the responses. The meeting should take no more than 45 minutes, and a 10-dollar incentive will be offered. Student who are interested in participating please email Eugenia, preferrably before June 20.
Announcement on July 18, 2007
